  1. Lenny Bruce: Known as one of the best satirists and political commentators of all time.
  2. Jerry Seinfeld: Known for one of the most successful sitcoms of all time, and his "What's the deal with..." style of comedy.
  3. Woody Allen: Famous writer, director of several genres of movies and plays, including many comedies.
  4. Roseanne Barr: Known for her blue collar style of comedy and #1 sitcom in 1989 and 1990.
  5. Rodney Dangerfield: Famous for getting "No Respect."
  6. Mort Sahl: First comedian to record a live album and originating the style of basing his comedy on current events found in the newspaper.
  7. Jackie Mason: Known for his overly Jewish style of comedy.
  8. Andy Kaufman: Known for how to take a joke one step too far, and then going three steps past that.
  9. Jack Benny: Became famous from the Jack Benny Program, one of the highest rated shows in the 1950s.
  10. Jon Stewart: Host of the very successful "Daily Show."
